2.0 Sport + (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 4 Years
Fuel Economy: 14.0 km/litre (7.1 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,000 km/month
Like the look of the car especially the side profiles
Very well specced, good finishing compared to other brand in the same price range
Nice sound system (sony + 9 speaker), auto start, active city stop and automatic parallel parking etc.
Very powerful engine, not just on paper but when accelerating and keeping up in high speed
Responsive transmission (so far owned the car for 2 years plus, no problem with gearbox - happy!)
Overall, this is the car with german feel but at the price of a japanese car.
Rear seat leg space not as big as japanese counterpart
Big front semi bucket seats (might be too big for asian size)
No paddle shifter, given only +/- rocket switch
Responsive and steady car= higher tendency for spirited drive
To Improve
Smaller yet ergonomic front seat (fit for asian size)
No, I would not recommend this car

2.0 Sport + (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 3 Years
Fuel Economy: 5.9 km/litre (16.9 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,000 km/month
Powerful, if not the most powerful 2.0L non-turbocharged engine in its class, yet able to deliver fuel economy when needed. Average 8L/100km mixed urban driving with traffic jam.
Best in class handling, handles like a rail
9 speakers system is a joy to have in the car
Lots of tech packed in this car, if you opt for the sports + version
Soft touches on dashboards, door panels and well insulated cabin from noises.
transmission is jerky however recent fix by ford malaysia has eliminated the issue
power shift transmission not as fast changing as wet dual clutch gearbox, but faster than most automatics
To Improve
rear air con vents can be included
18 inch alloy wheel
Yes, I would recommend this car

2.0 Sport + (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 10.0 km/litre (10.0 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,500 km/month
    《2.0L GDI engine》
More punchy and accelerate smoother than same capacity MPI engine like Civic and Altis. It can rev very fast to achieve maximum power output, say 60~100kmph in less than 3 seconds or 80~140kmph in less than 5 seconds. Perhaps, it's the best NA 2.0L engine of normal production.

    《Powershift dual clutch gearbox》
Lightning forward gear shifting feels better and much more fun than torque converter transmission paired with NA engine like Civic and Altis. Simply say, the engine revving and gear change makes you feel sporty when you floor the gas pedal.

    《Handling》
Very stable during hard cornering and high speed zig-zag. The car is always under control and makes you feel like part of your body. Torque vectoring control and Control Blade independent rear suspension are not just marketing strategy. Both really work together to give driver such excellent handling.

    《Ride》
    1. Quiet cabin
    2. Excellent shock absorption over bumpy road
    3. Very clear and loud audio system
    4. Voice recognition very convenient in making call and playing favourite song when driving
    5. Active city stop really helps to avoid collision at slow moving traffic
    6. Park pilot very convenient in parking at limited area by showing distance of every important angle
    7. Solid feel doors
    1. Engine vibration when idling but at acceptable level
    2. Gearbox grinding but at acceptable level
To Improve
1. Eliminate engine vibration when idling to zero
2. Eliminate gearbox grinding to zero
Yes, I would recommend this car

(Had the 2.0S Hatch 2009MY, and have tried the 2013 Focus S+ too, so here's more of a comparison)

Handling. The Focus is probably one of the best, no wait, it is the best hatch for the road below 150k. Honestly, the way this car runs on the highway, you know where the money went in. Despite the fabulous drive, it doesn't crash over bumps at all, quite comfy in fact. Brilliant!

3rd Generation has a lot of safety aids which is good. Build quality on the 3rd generation is miles better than the second generation. In fact, the 3rd Generation feels almost like a Golf. And that is a good thing.

Looks, both models looked nice to me, they both looked different from your regular Civic and Corolla.

Space in the boot is OK for the hatch, on both versions. The Mk3 has a better back seat compared to the Mk2. Also, it is a good thing that Ford have gotten rid of the part vinyl-leather seats in the Mk2, not very comfortable. The front seats in the Mk2 and Mk3 are very supportive.

Fairly quiet cabin too. Responsive 2.0 engine, which has a lot of grunt compared to the 2.0s used in Japanese cars. Pretty refined too.

Visibility is not bad, while personally I felt the Mk2 had better visibility and was a bit easier to park.
In both cars, the transmission was a weak link. The 4 speed auto in the Mk2 was a bit dull, and lacked a 5th gear which was present in the Civic of the era. The Mk3 gets the PowerShift dual clutch automatic, personally I felt that it was not very pleasant in lower speeds, and felt a bit undecided. It is not DSG. Sad that Ford tried to make it feel like a conventional auto, but messed it up.
To Improve
Probably try and improve on the transmission... Nothing much else. Pretty decent car if not.
Yes, I would recommend this car

Fuel Economy: 14.3 km/litre (7.0 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 2,000 km/month
    1) superb handling
    2) powerful NA engine
    3) nice interior design (also good material)
    4) good fuel consumption although 2.0L engine (average 7L/100km)
    5) well-equip features in terms of application, safety and entertainment
    1) jerking and grinding sound at initial 2nd gear
    2) cramp rear leg spacing
To Improve
1) rear body easily becomes dirty due to air turbulent flow (dust collector)
Yes, I would recommend this car

Bought new, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 11.0 km/litre (9.1 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,500 km/month
Handling is a class above its peers, with near to perfect balance of comfort and sportiness thanks to its uniquely tuned suspension.
Sport plus give you seats with half leather/ fabric with side bolster in front without compromising comfort for long hours of driving
Nice soft touch plastics on dash and side door panels
Not the best looking car around
Fuel consumption not as good as it claimed for city driving
Responsive gearbox during hard driving but may be annoying due to indecisive gear changes when attempt to drive in 'eco' mode
Crampy backseats for a 'C segment' car.
To Improve
Software for the gearbox need to be improvised, everything else is more than good for the price you are paying for this car
Yes, I would recommend this car
