1.5 Hybrid (2013)
Bought new, Owned for 3 Years
Fuel Economy: 16.0 km/litre (6.3 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,500 km/month
    1. Good fuel consumption, (if you don't make many stops to wait for people.)
    2. Excellent value for money considering this is 2013 model (keyless entry, push start button, reverse camera, remote boot open,VSA, bluetooth telephony, many more.)
    3. Good handling (tuned for comfort, hence not for fast cornering)
    4. Comfortable enough. Suspension not hard (not for fast cornering).
    5. Responsive and quick enough to overtake cars (when I dare to press on accelerator).
    6. Nice and quiet during autostop.(but see below.) last up to 3mins (better than Mazda/Hyundai)
    7. Cabin feels executive and high class...nicer than Prius.
    8. Undercarriage sections are all covered.
    1. During autostop on hot day, I could hear the aircond's electric motor outside noise. Autostop when starting its engine got little vibration. Not as soft as Camry Hybrid 2016.
    2. Small trunk space due to battery.
    3. Noise from tyre and road (much lesser road noise after switching to Yokohama C-Drive)).
    4. Lack of storage spaces in cabin for gadgets.
    5. Rear seats can't open.
    6. Weak performance when carrying heavy loads (5 fat people).
To Improve
1. to sound proof the tyre wheel arc.
2. to eliminate jerking when regenerative motor disengage (whilst slowing down til below 10km/h.)
3. to add rear aircond vents.
4. to move battery to underneath rear seats to enable rear seats be open for ferrying longer items AND to have larger trunk space.
5. to increase rear passenger's leg room.

2.0S (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 6 Years
Fuel Economy: 11.6 km/litre (8.6 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 645 km/month
This was amazing car, actually one of my dream car. Driving from ECO to normal mode still giving u that punch to accelerate even more to the top speed. Value for money. Petrol wise, 11.6km/L for urban & long distance. I manage to stay in GREEN always to get more efficient fuel consumption. The best part is, when I push the peddle almost to the floor but I didn't notice I've already reach 168km/h?? Wooww!
    1) Need sound proof.
    2) Could be better if increase more HP? Perhaps 155hp to 180hp?
    3) To many 'blind spots' especially rear view.
    4) Should have more space for passengers behind me.
    5) That all...hehe
To Improve
1) More HP please?
2) Blind spots to be reduce.
3) Noiseless like Accord perhaps?
4) Should have the Civic Type R version?
No, I would not recommend this car

2.0 Navi (2014)
Bought used, Owned for 3 Years
Fuel Economy: 11.0 km/litre (9.1 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,000 km/month
The looks in the front is not a revolution like the FD Civic that came before it, but rather an evolution of it. It looks sharp even without the bodykit, and in 2.0S guise, the rims fit the car really well. The face that Honda created with the Civic in the FD generation has become rather unmistakable, which is nice.

Inside, the Civic is rather spacious even in the rear. Unlike many newer cars with sloping roofs, the Civic still has a slightly taller roofline making it nice for taller people too. Visibility outside it very very good, and unlike say the Elantra, manoeuvring the Civic was a cinch. The Navi came with the reversing camera which made it even easier. For C segment first timers, moving from a B segment, this is really good.

It's nice to see ESP is standard across the range, while the 2.0 does get side but not curtain airbags. Dynamically the Civic is not bad. It soaked up all the lumps and craters in the road pretty well. I did like the 2.0 engine with the 5 speed auto that works smoothly and gives you power when you want it. Also, since there were paddles too, that was a nice addition.

The steering wheel of the new Civic itself is much nicer than the old one. The buttons are clear and easy to press about, and I love the double tier instrument cluster- another unmistakable Civic feature. The Eco coach does help you train your right foot to be more efficient too.

Also the HID lights are nice and bright at night, making a night drive much safer. When you do push the Civic, it does not feel like it is going to float or topple over, which is a good thing, while the steering for me is just right at speeds.

Honda has relatively affordable service pricing too for the Civic, compared to the Elantra which does cost more to maintain.
One of the biggest issues with the Civic is the ugly rear. Compared to the FD, this one looks downright hideous. The older FD still looks nicer at the back, though Honda fixed it in the 2013 refresh for the US market. Honda Malaysia needs to bring it in ASAP.

Also, it is surprising the Civic only has a pathetic 2 airbag system in the 1.8, while the 2.0 only gets 4. Even the City has 6! Come on Honda!

It would be nice if Honda threw in auto lights and wipers too. And the satnav system while is responsive looks a bit out of date. Speaking of which, the interior does look a bit "cheap" with the boring grey plastic that is a bit on the hard side. The Cerato does feel better inside.

However, for me the Honda does give a bit more peace of mind, though I would hope to see 6 airbags soon for the newer units.
To Improve
Improve the airbag count to 6, and bring in the new rear light design.

Also bring in the newer satnav system, as used on the ones made for outside Malaysia as those come with HondaLink and are nicer.

Otherwise, it is a pretty good car.

2.0S (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 10.2 km/litre (9.8 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 600 km/month
    - Good handling
    - Good pickup at both city drive and highway especially hi-revv power kicks in > 150kmh
    - Nice original rims with Michelin 17" low profile tires.
    - Nice design head lamps which are HID
    - Nice continuity of futuristic dashboard from previous generation
    - Good balance between handling and comfortability
    - Comfy leather seat
    - Rather bad sound proofing (better than B-segment, no good for its own class)
    - Although looks good, but receives negative feedbacks from 8th gen civic lovers on its less-sporty look. It's just whole different perpective of aesthetic.
    - Smaller boot space than City
    - 4 air bags only
To Improve
Need improvement on sound insulation, so it feels like its class sitting inside.
Modulo bodykit doesn't improve the look. Mugen is not to everyone's liking.

I drive the 2.0 Navi version. A great car compared to many other competitors especially the Korean brands.. a friend test drove my car and he owns a cerato and sportage.. he said those cars have much more features but the quality and comfort in a japanese car still gives it an upmarket feel.
