Muscle Power (A) (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 10 Years
Fuel Economy: 15.0 km/litre (6.7 L/100 km), Diesel, Mileage: 1,000 km/month
    - It has a very powerful engine - 2800cc diesel
    - it has absolutely awesome pulling capacity - the SA said 1 tonne and we used it to literally take apart our bungalow and move the important parts to the new place in this truck. Each load would easily be 0.5 tonne
    - it doesn't say it officially but frankly I think it should do about 2.5 feet of water without issue - which is quite needed when it floods even in urban areas
    - it has a transfer case at the bottom - what that means is that there is a sheet of metal below the truck so if you go off-road, the tiny stones and pebbles that ricochet off the bottom of the truck do not damage the underside of the truck. That is a really good point to note
    - it can go off road or on-road and it behaves admirably on the road
    - because of its sheer power - 470 Nm torque - it goes up and down hills really fast. We realize this when we are going on N-S tunnel near Menora Tunnel and all the other places - it just zooms past almost all the cars including the older Mercedes' and whatever else
    - there is a lot of spaces to put stuff in - there are even cubby holes on the dashboard just like what you would find in MPVs
    - it uses halogen headlamps and I have found them to be really powerful at night and in dark areas
    - as a truck, it has height advantage
    - the build is solid and you really feel safe in it
    - as it is tall, one good thing is not many people look inside the cabin so in a way, your valuables are safe.
    - the maintenance is really on the low side. I send it for maintenance once maybe at 40,000 km or so - no issues so far
    - This model is based on the Isuzu D-Max so it shares many of the parts with it and some of the Isuzu spare parts can be interchanged
    - the cabin is plushly made - the seats are full leather, the area around the dashboard has chrome bits and the steering wheel is also leather. Basically it is for owners to drive this vehicle as a lifestyle choice
    - the doors have deep pockets - you can fit a 1.5 litre bottle inside
    - the back seat is uniform so it becomes a great couch if you should need to stretch out and sleep
    - the driver seat is electronically adjustable for height and angle
    - in 2013 when I bought this model, USBs didn't exist. However the front dashboard comes with two 12V sockets and the rear comes with an additional one
    - it easily does 180 km/h if pushed
    - consumption is superb if you are going long distance. For example, KL to Kota Bharu uses up 60% of the fuel tank and KL to Penang is about 50%. However, consumption drops tremendously for short trips about town
    - Unfortunately Chevrolet is owned by General Motors which seems to have left our region so don't expect any official support. However because of the Isuzu link, the spare parts is not really an issue
    - the original tyres lasted a full 9 years but when it was time to change, I found that there are no exact tyres that match the originals 100%. I changed to the tyres that are 95% the same and no issues whatsoever till now
    - the seats in the rear are almost 90 degrees upright so it is a bit uncomfortable for rear seat passengers especially on long drives
    - it is difficult to park and maneuver for the uninitiated but once you are familiar with it, it stops being an issue
To improve
- I guess NVH but technically this is a truck so I am not sure if there was an intent to get better at this
Yes, I would recommend this car
