Bought new, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 10.5 km/litre (9.5 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 2,000 km/month
Excellent build quality from factory
Absolutely no rattles or squeaks can be heard. Outstanding here.
Good suspension that soaks up almost every bump and pot hole unlike other makes where the car shatters.
Good sound insulation - close to a Lexus or merc
The 2.0 engine and 4 speed auto is actually more than sufficient unless you want to drive above 170 km/h .
Coming from a 5 speed gearbox, you will not notice a downside difference in this 4 speeder unless you just love complaining on the technology. Even fuel economy is the same as my earlier civic 2.0 5 speeder. But frankly this older tech will be a blessing in disguise in the longer term when comes to repair and replacement.
One of the best buys in the market for quite and comfort with good re-sale value and cheap maintenance as well.
The Toyota fitted DVD AVN player does not have a concealed USB. For a car of this price, dislike seeing the USB stick sticking out of the dash. Looks cheap.
The stock tyres, Bridgestone Turanza ES33 suspected to be a defective batch as it had bad humming noises at certain speeds. After spending RM and changing them, it's a beauty...absolutely no noise at all. The tyre shop guy told me 2 other Camry owners also had the same issue. Hope that Toyota gets this message - a lovely car spoilt by poor choice of OEM tyres.
To improve
The current old engine and 4 speed auto, although more than sufficient but still needs a refresher since competitors are doing much better at this and market perception on Toyota technology.
Could do with more than 2 airbags
Yes, I would recommend this car
