Perodua Alza Mk1 Facelift (2014-2018)

Not the most sophisticated drive, but the Perodua Alza is a good family wagon. The third row is a boon, whether as emergency seats or for a young family future-proofing its family car. Performance is adequate and ride comfort is good.

Not the most sophisticated drive, but the Perodua Alza is a good family wagon. The third row is a boon, whether as emergency seats or for a young family future-proofing its family car. Performance is adequate and ride comfort is good.
For
  • Alza is the most affordable three-row MPV in town.
  • Slide and recline second row means third row (now split foldable) is usable.
  • Facelift for 2014 successfully freshens up the looks.
Against
  • Brake pedal requires too much effort.
  • Steering assistance inconsistent.
  • Minor cabin issues - door ajar cabin lighting doesn't include front bulbs, no driver's vanity mirror.

1.5 Advanced Version AT (2016)
Bought new, Owned for 10 Years
Fuel Economy: 11.0 km/litre (9.1 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,500 km/month
    - Cheapest people mover + space for moving bigger objects.
    - Cheap maintenance. Average around 200/regular servicing engine oil and such.
    - Any where can find replacement part / potong kete part.
    - NO REAR AIRCOND, but i modify it with those 2-headed fan. Mine is AV spec with 1995 year roof monitor.
I remove the monitor and modded a piece acrylic and make it flat mount.
    - BRAKE FEEL CACAT AF. I choose to change into better brake pad and slotted rotor. Some mod into honda bigger caliper and brake.
    - NOT GOOD FUEL CONSUMPTION. 85% city driver, meter showed 8.8L / 100km. Tried shah alam > Penang RM62 petrol gone.
    - BULB KEEP BLOWN. Especially the front headlight H7 bulb. Even added voltage stablizer + grounding cables.
    - CRAPPY BUILD QUALITY. My steering rack have oil leak on my brake pedal when the car is 1 year+. Front suspension 1 side leak on 1 year+ too. And SC only replace 1 side for me. Now i walk like Captain Hook (i feel la)
To improve
No need improve. Cacat also sell 13 years liao. HAHAHA
