AV (2023)
Bought new, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 16.0 km/litre (6.3 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,000 km/month
The car is slightly bigger than the previous model, more leg room I must say. I am using the AV model, so the digital display, and advanced safety features exsp the LDW and LDP - Lane Departure Prevention are some of the amazing and worthwhile features for a compact car like Axia. Pre-Collision Braking and etc is definitely helpful.
The manufacturer promised a 27.4km/litre subject to MDC and ECO-Idle mode turned on, surprisingly I have not seen such or even close savings on my fuel. Only and unless, you are on long and free highway, you may get see close fuel savings. But then again, with that good or 'close to good' average that changes every 100metre of your drive, should effectively alter your driving range value upon refuelling, but I don't seem to see the numbers change accordingly. I have tried getting the response at the service center, but they seem to also be in learning stage of the fuel-saving topic.

Next up, the audio system - this is 2023, can't we not have a wireless sync to the audio system? On top of that, if I were to use the GPS or navigation via my phone connected to the audio system, ot would also mean I can't listen to my radio. I have to now work on installing a seperate radio app to listen to radio while viewing my Waze on the audio system screen. At the same time, should any call come in, after you attend to the call, the screen goes from landscape back to portrait mode, which now the driver has to adjust while driving. Many of my friends choose to change their audio system just because the audio system provided by Perodua is not up to their expectations. Safety is important but if Bluetooth Music can be connected while you view your navigation app on the screen, why can't we listen to the radio while using the navigation app? A kind request to the manufacturer to have the app updated just so that we could listen to our favourite radio station while we use the smart link feature. We paid for the car and that includes the audio system as well.
To improve
Audio System - Drivers must be able to listen to the radio while viewing the Smart Link Feature (navigation). If safety was the concern, then why are able to listen to Bluetooth music and not radio while viewing the navigation via Smart Link App? Same logic. An app update is critically needed, just so that we can use the audio system conveniently and not having to pay extra to have it replaced. We are in the year 2023! Also upon answering calls, the navigation screen goes from landscape to portrait, and we will have to adjust it again! Troublesome! Please consider an app update for the new Perodua Axia 2023 owners! Pls! We paid for the car and that includes a good and convenient audio system.

Engine Sound - I did purchase extra hood sound dampers from Perodua, but not so much of difference. The SC staffs said it is 'normal' as it is a 3 Cylinder Engine - well, the engine roaring sound something to improve I guess.
Yes, I would recommend this car
