Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 13.0 km/litre (7.7 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,000 km/month
Coming from olders cars which are 14-23 years old
This my first new car
1. Good ride comfort
2. 360 camera and sensors are great help
3. Comfortable seat
4. Ample space and leg room. Even for 3rd row seat.
Like the sofa features, converting 2nd row or 3rd row to a lazy chairs and extend your legs for resting in the car
5. Android auto functions well
6. Toyota app could locate your car and trace your journey
7. Looks good(handsome) but beauty is in the eyes of the beholder
8. Unlock and lock from both front doors, oh and rear boot. To lock from the rear if below the 'O' in the VELOZ. Great if keys are in the bag or pocket
9. Cup holders everywhere
10. At sub 100k, not sure any 7 seater can top this
11. Simple instrument panel and centre consol. Easy to use
12. Rear windows rolls down completely
13. Lots of space for storage at door panels
14. 13-14km/L pure city driving.
15. Lots of safety features, lots of airbags, lots or ADAS
1. Poor rear boot space after putting up 3rd row seats. Without 3rd row, there is ample of space
2. Sharp edges at door panel armrest. The silver liner.
3. Gear searching going uphill will rev high up to 3k rpm. Put to eco mood to allow earlier shift
4. Soundproofing at rear 3rd row is almost non existing
5. At just the First year, occasional squeaking sound over dashboard plastic panels.
6. Middle cup holder at centre armrests, one of my kids will pry open/step on it sooner or later
7. Change to better tyres once factory tyres are out. Frequent aquaplaning with these toyo tyres. Not a fast driver but 80-90km is enough for aquaplaning
8. Adaptive cruise control is a bit hard on the brakes and hard on acceleration. Hurts fuel consumption
To improve
Front arm rest at door panels could do better plastics. Some sharp edges. Feels too cheep
Adaptive cruise control should be smoother.
But at sub Rm100k 7 seater, other than alza. Both are affordable people mover with a lot of safety features.
More pros to cons
Yes, I would recommend this car
