3.2 WildTrak 4x4 (A) (2015)
Bought new, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 10.0 km/litre (10.0 L/100 km), Diesel, Mileage: 1,200 km/month
I love the car power! It produces 470NM of Torque, 3.2L TDCI and a 200PS engine. When I step on the paddle then car just FLEW! My car is Ford Ranger Wildtrak.. It got intelligent lane keeping assists, collision warning and cruise control, I just don't know how to describe it! Handling is the best on this car, It's very comfort , powerful, spacious and safety! The Mitigation control is amazing
    Nothing unlike about this BEAST
To Improve
I am just hoping that ford will improve the acceleration of ranger, I know it is a diesel car but I just hoping that it will be better at acceleration. The acceleration is better than the old man pickup it improved a lot!
Yes, I would recommend this car

    - Comfortable ride for a huge sized pick up truck, best in its class.
    - EPAS (Electronic Powered Assisting Steering) is a nice touch for a truck. Giving the much needed maneuverability in city and parking lots.
    - Tuned 2.2 engine gives a better fuel consumption and increased in torque makes the truck feels more responsive than its predecessor.
    - Ample legroom and space on the rear compartment
    - Interior doesn't feel like a work vehicle. Gives ample riding comfort for passengers and driver alike.
    - Sunglasses holder!!
    - Lots of storage compartments, and practicality added to the interior.
    - 2016 minor updates gives a reverse rear camera pre-installed, a big plus for some owners.
    - New facelift gives the Ford Ranger a much meaner look, defining tough with its squarish design exterior and interior.
    - Ample aftermarket modification choices. Be sure to have a fat wallet / bank account if you are looking to mean up your truck.
    - Stock tires (Bridgestone Dueler H/T) have soft side wall that is prone to punctures and cuts. I got 2 puncture within 4 months of ownership.
    - Truck bed hooks are made out of ABS Plastic. Would prefer of its steel or metal. Just a personal taste.
    - Default side step is too narrow and lack of grip when it comes to wet season. Prone to misstep and falling. Wildtrak have a much broader side step.
    - The removal of rear under seat storage compartment lock and cover is quite a disappointment.
    - The removal of the hood insulant is a big minus to faster fade to car paint and is a little noiser at idle.
    - Horrendous servicing experience at SDAC service center.
To Improve
- Make a standard side step based on what is provided in the Wildtrak variant.
- All Terrain tires should be considered the stock tires.
- Put back the rear under seat compartment cover and lock feature as well as the hood insulant for better heat dissipation.
- Nothing much can be done to improve SDAC service center but would love to see a reform of the service center with more honest service advisor and managers.

2.2 XLT 4x4 (A) (2015)

Fuel Economy: 8.5 km/litre (11.8 L/100 km), Diesel, Mileage: 1,000 km/month
I'm a proud owner of the pre-facelift model.
    A truck that has a sedan-like interior.
Seats are very comfortable. Provides necessary body support.
Comes with a long list of safety features.
    Ride height is superb.
Ride comfort is by leaps and bounds better that a lot of other Japanese brands.
Near-superb sound system with crisp treble and beefy bass sounds.
Bluetooth-voice command system is such a convenience esp when making hands-free calls.
Spacious rear quarters with plenty of legroom for passengers of height up to 180cm.
The list goes on. Do drop by any dealership for a test drive. You won't be disappointed.
Gearbox a tad sluggish whenever first driven from cold (even after a few minutes warming up) but performs pretty well after that (still not as smooth as a Hilux's seamless gear change)
Stock tyres do not provide enough traction especially on wet tarmac. Truck swayed a couple of times before but thank goodness for the VSC that helped bring it back to composure.
Rear seat bench has no 50:50 or 60:40 split fold configuration which makes carrying luggage and extra 3rd passenger during rainy day abit of a hassle.
No rear a/c vents (although the front blower is strong and cold enough).
    No rear disc brakes.
A very awkwardly shaped side step which caused me to slip a few times and sprained my ankle.
Servicing isn't exactly cheap (costs more than a non-dealership servicing for the BMW X6).
To Improve
Split folding rear seat bench.
More responsive gearbox.
Rear aircond vents.
Change the side steps to the likes of those on the Hilux (maximum footing).
Servicing costs.
