The Myvi already does most things well for most people. It didn't need technical updates, but Perodua went on and replaced the gearbox - the D-CVT ups efficiency and cruising refinement. Safety - already unchallenged in its price bracket (and beyond) - is now at Level 2 ADAS, and ASA is available on all variants. As a starter car or affordable daily tool, the Myvi is a no-brainer.
For
  • CVT provides more effortless acceleration
  • Improved refinement, very low cruising RPM
  • Good FC gets even better with CVT
  • Unprecedented safety at the price point
  • LED DRLs, finally
Against
  • AV's interior is too heavy on the red
  • Not the best seats and driving position
  • Thick A pillars, visibility around corners not great

Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 13.0 km/litre (7.7 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,500 km/month
    - For a small car, it is actually spacious compared to 1st gen and 2nd gen.
    - Active safety features which is available for a car bought under 60k.
    - Suitable for people that are always on their phone while driving because they think they own the road, the Myvi comes with the auto lane assist, auto brake when approaching car within 3 meters, warning sound when car in front departed/start moving.
    - Fuel saving depending on drivestyle.
    - NVH is quite loud when driving above 100km/h.
    - The suspension is too soft which results in heavy body roll, not as much as bezza's bodyroll.
    - Speaking of the suspension, whenever you hit a small pothole, it feels like you hit a large pothole instead.
    - The throttle response is quite bad as if it takes 1-2 business days to accelerate to get to speed but can be ignored because its a cvt. Also the intake takes time to pull air.
    - The rattling noise. Apparently it is so common that even the SC guy says unavoidable. But over time you'll get used to it
    - The soundproofing/insulation. Whenever it rains, you can hear the raindrops very clearly which feels like being in a tin can.
    - The jerking of the car when in traffic going 20-30km/h, as its a cvt transmission, the rubber-banding is aggressive.
    - The seats are not that comfortable, stiff and the seating position is awkward, for a tall person, it may be uncomfortable.
To improve
- Better suspension, to make it more stiffer
- The soundproofing/insulation.
- Provide better seats, at least make it more comfortable.
- Updated interior design.

As i have touched the car and did modifications to it, I made the car much more better to drive, here is what i did to the car. And also i daily drive it.
- Stiffer springs, better absorbers, front and rear strut bars, handling is much more better and body roll have decreased by a significant amount.
- New air intake, or you can DIY the intake with just rm50. Acceleration has improved due to intake being direct air intake.

I have whacked corners going up genting multiple times and so far with modifications everything has improved.

But keep in mind the myvi is made for just normal driving, so if your car is full stock without any modifications, please don't treat it as if it's a sports car. The body roll is horrendous, straights are acceptable.
Yes, I would recommend this car
