Ride & Handling
by Danny Tan
After one million units sold, the "love of the nation" received a full reboot for the third-generation. The homegrown effort betters the car it replaces in every aspect, but features - some unprecedented at this price point, some ingenious - are a particularly strong point. Still not the best driving or most refined B-segment hatchback, but unbeatable content and value for money means it's a sure winner.
  • Top level safety, unprecedented safety kit
  • Ingenious local features that aren't gimmicks
  • Improved refinement and dynamics
  • Unbeatable content, value for money
  • Improved, but NVH levels could still be lower
  • 4AT does a basic level job, and that's about it
  • Rear end design

1.5 Advance AT (2016)
Bought new, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 16.0 km/litre (6.3 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 3,000 km/month
-very nice dashboard interior for the price
    -smooth steering wheel
    -comfort and stable under 110km/h
    -quiet and refine engine
-very smart and useful feature such as smart tag reader, eco idle, advance safety assist & so fort...
-very ergonomic seating position for both front & rear seat, and rear seat get a big leg room
-NVH for front seat is nice as it come with acoustic windshield for front glass
-high score in ASEAN NCAP rating & come with 6 airbags
    -high fuel efficiency
-very beautiful and sport exterior look
-rear seat NVH is terrible when raining as the water splash on the arch wheels, can be hear it very obvious
-might have a little bit under power when u start to move your car
-seat might too low if you are tall than 185cm
-handling is moderate if compare to proton
-road and wind noise quite intrusive when u driving >110/kmh
-car is not that stable when u driving >110/kmh especially passing by big vehicles
-4AT transmission is a big pull down for the fuel efficiency and better driving experience
To improve
-improve the NVH of the car
-improve the stability and handling of the car
-upgrade to 6 transmission gear box please
after all, it is still a value car for what you have pay
Yes, I would recommend this car
