Ride & Handling
by Danny Tan
After one million units sold, the "love of the nation" received a full reboot for the third-generation. The homegrown effort betters the car it replaces in every aspect, but features - some unprecedented at this price point, some ingenious - are a particularly strong point. Still not the best driving or most refined B-segment hatchback, but unbeatable content and value for money means it's a sure winner.
  • Top level safety, unprecedented safety kit
  • Ingenious local features that aren't gimmicks
  • Improved refinement and dynamics
  • Unbeatable content, value for money
  • Improved, but NVH levels could still be lower
  • 4AT does a basic level job, and that's about it
  • Rear end design

Fuel Economy: 17.0 km/litre (5.9 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 2,400 km/month
Very good fuel efficiency for the size, I routinely get an average of 16-17km/l without trying hard at all, through KL rush hour some more.
Keyless entry and go is a huge convenience, once you go keyless, you'll never go back.
Exterior design isn't boring, so as the interior design.
Bright adjustable LED head lights <3
Very good interior room, 5 people over long distances are no problems, but better supports for the seats will be better.
Boring to drive, like very boring, to the point were I routinely get sleepy behind the wheel.
It's noisy, road noise, tyre noise, wind noise, engine noise, especially above 90 km/h.
Not enough interior storage and cubby.
It doesn't like to go at all, even tho it can. Acceleration & speed are hard earned, and the engine drones as it gets up to speed, understandable trade off for fuel economy.
    Bluetooth disconnects randomly.
Hard plastics galore, like, it probably uses more oil for the interior plastics production than it's weekly fuel consumption.
The seats have poor support, especially over long commute and distance. Poor lower back support, poor thigh support.
Small side mirror surface, it's a city car, not a sports car.
To improve
Better NVH, especially sound insulation.
Optimized interior storage solutions. We want the return of cup holder in front of the air con vent like the previous Myvi.
More eager acceleration from 0-40 km/h.
Yes, I would recommend this car
