Double Cab 2.5G (M) (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 3 Years
Fuel Economy: 14.0 km/litre (7.1 L/100 km), Diesel, Mileage: 2,000 km/month
    Durable
Heavy duty, loaded with 1ton of load before, it can handle it without breaking a sweat.
    Powerful for the manual version.
    Easy on maintenance
    Bumpy ride.
5000 KM service interval in Toyota service center.
May skid on wet road if driven more aggressively.
    Theft magnet.
To Improve
Maybe revise the suspension for more comfortable ride and implement more safety features like ESC etc to benefit wet road driving.
Yes, I would recommend this car

Double Cab 2.5G (A) (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 5 Years
Fuel Economy: 12.3 km/litre (8.1 L/100 km), Diesel, Mileage: 1,200 km/month
Very practical, runs well both on-road and off-road. Maintenance is pretty decent if not low. The diesel engine will serve you for many years to come without trouble. Fuel economy is decent as well. The NVH is very good for truck standards. Using good quality highway terrain tires can really make highway driving pleasurable.
The relative low output of the engine makes driving it not always a pleasant affair; especially during overtaking and driving through hilly highways. Build quality on small items like lights can sometimes be hit and miss. Suspension bushes among other things do wear out, making trips more noisier then normal but nothing serious.
To Improve
A new automatic gearbox - 5 or 6 speed transmission
More durable suspension bushes

Double Cab 2.5 Standard (M) (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 5 Years
Fuel Economy: 15.0 km/litre (6.7 L/100 km), Diesel, Mileage: 3,000 km/month
Very durable, owned it for over 5 years now, very little break down and maintenance is affordable. Nothing to shout about in terms of comfort or style, this is not a car for the up-market, instead for the work horse in you. General knowledge is that Re-sell Value ( RV ) is second to none.
Could do better with a more potent engine, better comfort for passengers and driver with roomier back seats and bringing the design to the 21st century as it looks dated parked next to other competitors in its class. Old models did not come with proper navigation and multimedia system. Has a grand father reputation viz a viz Nokia. It lacks the oomph and it is not a sexy nor desirable product.
To Improve
Could do with better styling and more safety features, eg. additional air bags, reverse sensors, GPS ( seen in newer models ) and could do with keyless entry.
Yes, I would recommend this car

Double Cab 2.5G (A) (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 8.5 km/litre (11.8 L/100 km), Diesel, Mileage: 1,200 km/month
Very tough built. Have no worries driving it through bumpy mud road in farm estate.
Shines when engage in 4L mode, can even climb up muddy jungle track easily with its tough chassis.

Interior just simple and basic. Old schools big buttons and switches work fine for me.
    No steering switches on 2.5G
    No electronic information screen
    No cruise control
    4AT gear box, that's ancient!!
Very, very tough body which means very very bumpy ride.
To Improve
At least 5AT gear box. And split level mid console please?
Yes, I would recommend this car
