Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 14.0 km/litre (7.1 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,800 km/month
    - The cars sound insulation is excellent, far beyond others in this price range
    - The car feels very stable at high speeds, without any sense of instability
    - The engine is powerful, making it easy to drive both on highways and small roads
    - The front seat leg support is a bit too low, which makes long drives uncomfortable
    - At low speeds or in stop-and-go traffic, there is some jerkiness
    - Trunk storage space.
To Improve
- It would be better if the car comes with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- The trunk is quite good, but when closing, the support struts press against the luggage. If it followed Mazda Sedans design, it could fit more items. This design reduces the usable storage space.
Yes, I would recommend this car

1.5T Flagship (2024)
Bought new, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 15.0 km/litre (6.7 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,500 km/month
Super value for money, for the price you are paying (RM90k), you feel you are getting a RM120k sedan car, should be called as the S60. Its more value and better in every aspect compared to a conventional B-segment sedan, but not to the level of a C-segment sedan.
    - Punchy engine, press pedal and then go already, brakes are good too!
    - Refinement is surprisingly great as well (remember the price you are paying)
    - Design is subjective, but for me it looks modern, classy, simply yet matured, simply can last more than 10years.
    - Quality is good too! Try moving the center console in the City and Vios, and then compared with S70 and you will know what I meant.
    - Storage space and interior space is great as well, plenty, I mean plenty of storage space, and rear headroom is even better than CIVIC! Im 180cm tall and I sit upright, my head is touching the roof in the CIVIC but not S70. Boot is huge too.
    - Technology is superb! Fully digital meter cluster on a 90k car, all auto up-down windows, apps to control your car.
    - Safety is great too, at least I feel so safe to drive. ICC is a bonus!

some features that make this car feels premium, some not even present on a 200k car:
    - when you are idle, and the auto hold is on, your wiper will reduce 1 speed, meaning you will hear less wiper sound and movement, and when you press the pedal, the wiper will back to the speed that you set, that is pure premium stuff!
    - you even have comet graphic on the digital meter cluster!
    - dancing light show at the front and rear, this is the feature that I will look back at my car every time I lock and unlock it.
Well, just nitpicking, just some minor issues need to be added/corrected to make this car 100% perfect!
    - only one side keyless entry, would be nice if front passenger door handle also got button/sensor to lock/unlock car.
    - tire/road noise is quite apparent, I think can be solved by changing to a more quiet and comfy tire.
    - no front foglamp, nice to have but the headlights are bright enough already.
    - headrest is on the thin side, wish it could be thicker to look more solid but seats are comfortable.
    - driver foot rest is flimsy, checked its only a foam underneath, but solved it with a better car matt.
    - hard plastic front door panel (only the top part). If Protons own X50 (a B-segment) can have soft plastic, why cant S70 (C-segment) has it too?
    - can have physical button for drive mode or 360 camera.
    - got wheel spin if you press the pedal too hard when the car is idling. Need to gauge the time and learn the pattern. Easily solve when I press the pedal softly, allow the car to move slightly first only then press the pedal more. (even the latest gen Toyota Alphard has wheel spin)
    - no AA/AP would be nice to have it!

Fuel Economy: 15.0 km/litre (6.7 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,500 km/month
    - For the price you are paying, it's more than worth it, feels like a RM120k worth car when you are paying RM90k only
    - Should be called as S60. Better in all aspect than most B-segment sedan but not to the level of a C-segment sedan, but yeah already worth it lah~
    - Engine is punchy, press and go already. Brake is good as well!
    - Ride and handling is superb, go and test drive and you will know, not to the level of a proper C-segment sedan but very close already. (Considering the price you are paying)
    - Safety feature is top notch! Go and read the brochure yourself and you will know.
    - Design is subjective, but for me it looks premium and modern, classy yet simply. It simply can last for another 10years.
    - Interior space is sufficient. In fact, rear headroom is better than Civic, i tested myself and I'm 180cm tall. When you sit up straight, your head will be brushing the roof in Civic, but not S70. THUMBS UP!
    - Fuel consumption, for me it's reasonable, not too thirsty, not to fuel saving as well.
    - Storage, more than sufficient.
    - Built quality, simply better than TOYOTA and HONDA don't believe me? try moving the center console in the Vios and City, then compare with S70 and you will know what i meant.
Many premium features that even a 200k car don't have:
    1) Dancing lights - a feature that I keep looking back at my car every time I lock or unlock my car.
    2) This not many people know, the wiper function/speed, when you are at the traffic light and your auto-hold is on, the wiper speed will reduce by 1, so less wiper sound/movement when you are idle. This is simply premium stuff!
    3) You can change the colour and the number plate in the infotainment screen.
    4) ICC is just brilliant!
    5) Fully digital screen with crystal clear clarity, and on night mode, you have comet moving too!
Well just nitpicking, overall i feel S70 is a very good product already, if these small issues can be rectify/changed by Proton, then this car is 100% prefect!

    1) Change to a better tyre, road/tyre noise is apparent. I think this can be solve by changing a more comfy and quite tyre.
    2) Front fog lamp, not needing it as the headlight is bright already. But nice to have.
    3) Front passenger door handle to have keyless entry button as well - more convenient.
    4) Front door panel is made of hard plastic (top part only), Proton's own X50 (a B-segment SUV) has a soft top, but why S70 (a C-segment sedan) has a hard top?
    5) Add physical button for drive mode, just like the X50.
    6) Driver foot rest is a little soft to my liking. I press and check its only a foam of sponge. X50 feels more firm - change new cat matt - problem solved!
To Improve
Rectify the small issues on top and this car is 100% perfect!

Proton S70 high ground clearance, which often goes unmentioned, is a real advantage for navigating speed bumps on roads at taman. The noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels are also quite acceptable.

Recommend test driving a Honda City and then experiencing the Proton S70 within the same price range. Dont be concerned about the segmentation often discussed in the media. Focus on enjoying the ride without worrying too much about resale value or fuel consumption.

The Proton brand is perfect for those who prioritize after-sales service and support from a well-established service centre with a solid 40-year history. Plus, can easily purchase spare parts from Chinese online websites if needed.
Fuel consumption, mine averages 9 km/litre only, with a city to highway ratio of 80:20.

Protons resale value is an important factor for some lo, but its a matter of personal preference. Personally, I dont worry much about it; I follow the philosophy of max using the car until its no longer functional.

Additionally, it doesnt come with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
To Improve
Keep up the great work with launching more Proton cars like this one.

By doing so, Proton are not only driving innovation but creating more local job opportunities through domestic manufacturing and service.

Focus on improving manufacturing quality control to avoid past mistakes from the 2000s, especially now no longer have Dr. Mahathirs protection.

Look forward to seeing more Proton electric cars on the road in the future and hope Proton can expands exports to additional right-hand drive countries, leveraging Geely technology. By tapping into foreign markets, earn additional revenue to further boost Malaysias economy.

1.5T Flagship (2024)
Bought new, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 16.0 km/litre (6.3 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 3,000 km/month
    - Nice handling
    - Powerful engine
    - Fuel efficiency is actually not bad (can get 18km/l on highway and 17km/l on trunk roads)
    - ICC works like a charm when driving long distance
    - Cabin NVH pretty good (hardly any wind sound even at 130kmph)
    - ADAS very good
    - Solid materials (inside and out) - gives a premium feel
    - Throttle spin needs to be addressed (only happens when on auto hold, if that is off, tires spin doesnt happen)
    - Tires sound when at high speeds is there
    - No android auto / apple carplay (yet?)
    - Lack of buttons for drive modes is a bad design decision
    - Seats not as comfortable as initially thought (leg room could be better), i am 180cm tall
To Improve
- In car navigation needs to be improved (doesn't really pick the best routes even though option is chosen and upcoming junction alert could be a bit further)
- Throttle spin. Proton needs to do some fine tuning.
- Sadly all the safety features only available on flagship and flagship x versions, should be mandatory for all versions.

Fuel Economy: 14.0 km/litre (7.1 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 2,000 km/month
    Nice pickup
    Adequate comfortable driving feel
    Modern cabin minimalist
    Good NVH
    ICC useful on highway cruising
    Good LED
    No auto viper
Seat belt height cannot be adjusted
Auto aircond not calibrated good enough
Tyre noise ( should be better with better tyres)
Cabin less spacious compared to other C segment (H) branded
High center console limiting knee space
To Improve
Its a value for money buy. Would not expect more except better auto aircond tuning.
