The J5 EV is Jaecoo's first electric model for Malaysia, now open for booking with pricing estimated around RM125,000 ahead of launch. A 208 hp/288 Nm front motor draws from a 58.9 kWh CATL LFP battery for up to 402 km of WLTP range, with 130 kW DC charging (30-80% in about 28 minutes), 11 kW AC and 3.3 kW vehicle-to-load output.

Locally assembled in Shah Alam, it pairs a 13.2-inch portrait touchscreen with an 8.88-inch digital cluster, adds a 35-litre frunk, six airbags and a full driver-assistance suite including adaptive cruise with stop and go and lane centring.
