This is a brilliant piece of machine for the city. For many years i have an SUV and Crossover. This is my first ever Proton Saga bought it in April 2023.

What I love about it (feeling-wise) is how easily it manoeuvres around the busy street and loads of red lights in KL. It makes my daily errands so enjoyable and I can treat it like a toy car[...]
Coming from bigger better cars, there are a few things hard for me to be at peace with. They are:

    - storage compartments for driver and passenger. So small and little space
    - the car does not beep when u lock and unlock it. Paranoid sometimes when i leave the car feeling unsure if its locked or not
    - speed and acceleration of course. Think [...]

Bought new, Owned for 4 Years
Fuel Economy: 10.0 km/litre (10.0 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 3,000 km/month
    Best pickup.
    Good handling.
Memory seat is the best can choose profile before drive and got 3 slot to save our seat configuration.
    Quite large trunk.
360 sensor really helped as this car quite big plus long bonet.
Suspension a little hard for daily usage.
Braking felt a little slow to response.
Space a bit cramp for the size.
    Centre hump was to high.
Wireless charger to slow, if use waze on carplay the battery drop while charging.

Fuel Economy: 9.0 km/litre (11.1 L/100 km), Electric, Mileage: 1,000 km/month
Its electric, what more can I say. Its definitely full of tech and for the price of an X3 xdrive30i, you get a bit more kit like HUD, panoramic moonroof (not sunroof because in Malaysia its never open when the sun is out), m sport suspensions which are ready to be made adaptive m suspensions, pretty 20 inch rims etc.

Its not a city driving ca[...]
The 420km range on a full charge - you only get on a long distance drives at Malaysian speed limit. Pure town driving gets you about 320km on a full charge or about 270km on a 80% charge, which is what you should do.

Also not forget to say about the trunk space up to 482 litres. There's a 7" speedometer display which shows 8-9 information. Lastly, sure about the steering whic[...]

The quality speaks for everything that you paid for. NVH is good, the tactile feel of all the buttons feels fluid, the front seats is well ergonomiced where you would not feel tired even on long journeys. Well equipped for the price
The lag is a bit noticeable, 360 degree camera was only available on the Ignite spec for the CBU variant, along with level 2 autonomous feature (available on the CKD top variant) the Aircon could be colder as well

Power, handling and suspension of the car is superb. The flexibility of the second and third row allows me to carry items, specially for those who run small businesses.
7 seater allow me to bring my family hassle-free.
Basically nothing except no AEB, ACC, 360 camera, and blind spot assist. One more thing, although the car's headlamp is an IQ light and the car is already equipped with camera sensor, the Volkswagen's signature LED Matrix IQ light auto high beam feature is not available, had to activate through coding from 3rd party shop.

Excellent AEB tech for a sub 53k car. Excellent interior space for a small hatchback. Thoughtful touches unique to Malaysia like the built in smartag. fuel economy is good. Sufficient power. The ride isnt great. The seat-backs are way too short offering poor shoulder support. Theres no suitable flat surface on the dashboard that makes a suitable mounting point for suction cup type phone mounts. The silly chrome garnish on the aircon vents causes so much glare in the midday sun.

I love the economical offer for this car, with this price you get a entry level sedan size, with huge boot, very very fuel efficient, and yet a complete start up car for a fresh grad!
The handling is quite loose, you should be very careful if you drive more than 120kmh on highway. The passenger seat at the back quite small, steering position cant adjust and the wheel width quite small that contribute to its handling feel.

This ride so smoothly and also not shaky when driving at high speed, the space of the 1st and 2nd row is so spacious. The acceleration of this car also gives you the sedan feel and gives you excitement driving it.
The driver and co pilot seat are too short on the thigh area makes you feel tired driving for long distances. The steering wheel have a shrieking sound when try to park the car (sc say it is normal). The steering wheel position is awkwardly low, but i can get used to it and the worst part is the reverse camera, it is like having a 360p camera. E[...]

Fuel Economy: 18.0 km/litre (5.6 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 300 km/month
I owned a previous Gen 1.3 2006 mark 1 model and i switch to 1.5E 2011 Mark a few years ago, different between this two vehicles are incredibly significant. The 1.3 2006 uses a K3 engine that is kind of rough and lazy to ride on and also the fuel consumption is fairly high compare to mark 2 while the 1.5E which uses 3SZ engine has a smooth ride [...]
If you planing to buy the 1.3 2006 model, the K3 engine think again the major problem for this car comes with the throttle body will have contamination stuck to it and it easily can enter the engine, leave it longer and you might need to do overhaul now and then. While 1.5 SZ engine is more reliable, there is a major design flaw in the air filte[...]
