    - Very high equipment levels that gives me much more gadgets to play with which is better than its rivals and even some luxury cars
    - Good handling for a car in this category
    - Being a fully imported model (CBU) the quality of the interior is high
    - Red stitching on the comfortable leather seats gives the interior a sporty feeling

    - Interior space is smaller compared to its rivals
    - 6 speed gearbox is smooth but could have been tuned to be more engaging
    - No rear air conditioning vents
    - Small rims do not fit the car
    - No heated seats in comparison to earlier models brought into Malaysia

    Although the 316i only has a 1.6l turbo engine, it doesn't feel slow at all and the handling prowess of a BMW is evident in this model even at high speeds or twisty corners.
    CKD quality is poor and is plagued with interior noise the day you get the car. At this price range one would expect to have comfort access/keyless entry, some form of build in navigation, reverse camera and a decent sound system.

    Huge boot.
    using multilink suspension.
    not to mention proton aircon is always the best
    4 disc break, ABS, EBD and 2 airbags!!!
    value for money for 1.6cc car.
    the back seat is too straight.
    for the SV edition lack of accessories the side mirror need to use hand to adjust.
    the door problem because of hard to close.
