    -No doubt that 1.6 MT gearbox and engine is much quiet and responsive than 1.6 CVT
    -Handling is superb
    -Much comfortable and fun to drive
    -Cornering not bad
    -Safety feature well done
    -Great overall design
    -Secure system such as Parking lock in R may caused lack of reverse sometime.
    -Audio system may loss connect when cross over the bump eventhough accelerate 20km/h only.

    I personally have had the 1.6 non turbo Veloster before getting the Turbo Veloster, so I guess I could speak for how this compares to the older non turbo.

    For a start, this should have been what Hyundai should have brought in from the beginning, not the hopelessly underpowered 1.6 non turbo. The new turbo is actually not bad, it is surprising[...]
    Pricing is a bit of a joke really. For 145k, it's not really that justified when compared to the slightly smaller competition like the Polo GTI (which is only 10k more, but is a much faster car), or the Clio RS200 EDC (also a better driver)...     There are lots of pros for this car which I think almost all reviewers have already mentioned, all I would like to add is that its a good car and performs well under normal circumstances. With the new pearl ruby red it takes the wow value to a higher level.
    Apart from its usual goodness there are several cons that could have been avoided while still keeping the price tag intact. Some of the most important drawback to this car are:

    Quiet, cold AC, good fuel economy as long as you're moving (reached 5.5l/100km on highway)
    Very roomy
    Stylish design
    Acceleration is ok but there is a delay in response.
    Terrible suspension, expect to bounce all over with fishtailing. Quiet scary when it happens especially at higher speeds on highway.
    Handling.
    Short lifespan of parts. In 2.5 years I've had to change the brake pads, AC blower, steering rack (a problem that the SC still cannot solve)

    1.) Great handling
    2.) Stable at high speeds
    3.) Reached 200kph easily (max 210 then cut)
    4.) Boot space is OK
    5.) Premium touch (leather wrapped steering wheel and gear levers)
    6.) Leather seats are very comfortable
    7.) SE model equipped with auto cruise (which is very very useful!)
    1.) Audio are very bad
    2.) Side mirrors are too small, very difficult for a first timer (Luckily Proton fix it in the facelift)
    3.) High fuel consumption
    4.) Stock exhaust didn't last long (Change it at SC for 3 times within 6 years of owning it)
