Hybrid 1.5 CVT (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 16.5 km/litre (6.1 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 2,500 km/month
    - Sporty exterior design
    - Interior trim is sporty as well, and nice speedo meter
    - Handling is good, given its small size
    - One of the best fuel consumption for a coupe, and affordable coupe available in market brand new (during tax incentive)
    - boot space could be limited especially if getting some bulky items
    - S+ button feels good, but only last approximately 10 seconds you'll run dry the battery
    - 5000km service internal kinda fast, should have at least 10,000km interval such as Civic/City, not to mentioned its CBU from Japan

2.0 Titanium (2014)
Bought used, Owned for 1 Year
Fuel Economy: 8.5 km/litre (11.8 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 2,000 km/month
    - great handling - nimble, powerful and responsive drive. Better than segment competition like civic, altis or cerato.
    - design that says drive me hard, with a sense of occasion others don't have
    - good build quality with properly fitted panels and finish.
    - decent list of accessories and features with good ICE system
    - the jerkiness on first to second gear of the dual clutch transmission needs getting used to. Annoying during jams
    - higher fuel consumption with the larger displacement engine

Fuel Economy: 10.0 km/litre (10.0 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 4,000 km/month
I love to drive this car for the powerful engine performance and great corner handling. You will feel the power whenever you need it. The car complete with accessories and features which can be found in most of the luxury cars.
Road and tyre noise is too obvious at high speed. The starting acceleration at gear 1 and 2 is not that smooth as the car might speed up too fast if the pedal is slightly over press. The entertainment unit does not have Bluetooth connectivity and GPS navigation.

Its very easy to forget one is actually driving a pick-up truck because of the sedan-like cabin.
Interior space, especially the rear passenger legroom has been increased a great amount to give taller passengers (think someone who is around 5'10" or 5'11") more room to stretch their legs.
The seemingly quieter diesel engine makes it more pleas[...]
Gear change is a bit sluggish when the engine has not been properly heated up long enough.

-Gear shifting is smooth and effortless
    -Fuel economy is good enough
    -Light steering
-Not a sportive looking car, but still a good looking car with soft and round line.
-Low cabin noise at below 120km/h
-In car audio player should come with USB and bluetooth, even Myvi equips with these functions, why not for Almera?
-Not stable at high speed (over 140km/h), only good for normal driving.

I owned a brand new Honda City S model year 2013. I am very satisfied with the following:

Titanium 1.5 (2014)
Bought new, Owned for 2 Years
Fuel Economy: 14.0 km/litre (7.1 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,600 km/month
Great overall package, very good value:
The pre-facelift model is best, as it has seven airbags, the 1.6l engine and was 6K cheaper too!
Quiet and refined, except for the gearbox's problems with crawling in traffic.
Very impressive chassis and suspension setup: both comfortable and with precise handling.
The gearbox cannot cope with slow speed crawling. It jerks, swaps gears too much, revs too much and is slow to engage second gear. It is lovely and smooth on the move though.

The Ranger gives you the average sedan-like comfort, without compromising its off-roadability in any way. It is so comfortable that, while driving on the normal road, it is easy to forget that you are actually driving a pick-up truck. Plus, at a normal cruising speed, the sound of the diesel engine is barely noticeable from inside the cabin. It [...]
The high ground clearance of 800 mm (meant for water-wading during off-road driving) means that the Ranger has become quite tall to be driven in a low-headroom clearance environment (like in the basement of an old building). Also, the proximity sensors on the rear chrome bumper are designed and installed in such a way that they stick out (protru[...]

    - Bad handling. You need to drive the car really politely around bends if you have your family in the car.
    - Loud engine noise at high speed. This is due to the (only) 4-speed autobox.
    - Not a superb highway cruiser, neither a traffic jam-friendly car

This car is most comfortable and best driven at speed between 50-90km/h.

(Had the 2.0S Hatch 2009MY, and have tried the 2013 Focus S+ too, so here's more of a comparison)

Handling. The Focus is probably one of the best, no wait, it is the best hatch for the road below 150k. Honestly, the way this car runs on the highway, you know where the money went in. Despite the fabulous drive, it doesn't crash over bumps at a[...]
In both cars, the transmission was a weak link. The 4 speed auto in the Mk2 was a bit dull, and lacked a 5th gear which was present in the Civic of the era. The Mk3 gets the PowerShift dual clutch automatic, personally I felt that it was not very pleasant in lower speeds, and felt a bit undecided. It is not DSG. Sad that Ford tried to make it fe[...]

Bought new, Owned for 5 Years
Fuel Economy: 9.0 km/litre (11.1 L/100 km), RON95, Mileage: 1,000 km/month
(this is based on the Mk6 XV40 2.4V, could not find that on the site, but should be an indication of what to expect of the 2.5V XV50)

Really reliable engine and transmission. Never needed anything more than an oil change and regular maintenance throughout the 90000km travelled in it. Smooth shifting 5 speed auto, and the 2.4 engine is OK.

    [...]
Specifications are really pathetic. No side curtain airbags on all models. Stability control which is standard on the Accord is only on the 2.4V (XV40) and for now, the current model only gets it on the 2.0G, 2.0GX and 2.5V. This is a very important feature, which cars 30% of the price (i.e. Picanto) have it as standard.

    While the engine and[...]
